Hui Rodomsky is an environmental scientist and land use planner working at the intersection of coastal ecosystems, communities, and governance through partnerships and relationship-building. Hui is experienced in restoration, conservation, and natural resources management of coastal and marine systems of the Pacific. Hui has lived in Lincoln County since 2012 and currently works as the South Coast Regional Representative with Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development.
Hui was born in Taipei and grew up in Savannah, GA. After obtaining her bachelor degree in Biology from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Hui worked as a fisheries biologist observer for NOAA Fisheries in the Bering Sea and Central Pacific. While seafaring was certainly life- and perspective-changing, Hui yearned for a life on land with more predictability (silly her, yes?) and earned a master in Environmental Science from Yale School of the Environment. Hui was a NOAA Knauss Marine Policy Fellow with NOAA Office of Coastal Management working on incorporating climate change considerations into coastal conservation projects prior to arrival on the Oregon Coast.
Hui has property on the Yachats River and is honored to be on the board of View the Future to help advance conservation in the Yachats area.
