“TRAIL-Ed” Project: Acronym stands for Thankful Respect & Acknowledgment for Indigenous Land Education
Grant awarded from Trust Management Services and the Braemar Foundation. In partnership with Oregon Extension Service this project aims to create greater awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the indigenous history of Yachats through the development of an interactive Amanda Trail map and QR code identifying the scaled route, scientific illustrations of native plants along the trail, the indigenous uses of those plants, wildlife that lives throughout the area, and the importance of minimizing our impact on the land.
Total cost of TRAIL-Ed Project = $13,770. The grant award from Trust Management Services and the Braemar Foundation totals $6,728. View the Future is providing = $2,526.
