It is part of View the Future’s mission to preserve and share the cultural history of the Yachats area. In August, Joanne Kittel, VtF co-chair, and Shannon Loucks, VtF volunteer, made presentations at the Amanda Trail Gathering Area to both Ford Family Leadership staff and the Central Coast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on the Ya’Xaik People who lived here sustainably for thousands of years, and the Alsea Sub-agency prison camp years.
