Afrodisa Press of Yachats is pleased to announce the publication of a new book co-authored by two of Yachats’ very own. Longtime resident Joanne Kittel needs no introduction; less famous and perhaps less infamous is Wally Orchard who has also lived in Yachats for some years. They have joined forces to write Yachats Trails, a book that brings together the histories of all the trails in our city, as well as the history of the Yachats Trails Crew itself. The book is liberally illustrated with full-color photographs and other artwork.
The book is on sale for just $15.00 per copy. All profits will go to View the Future, as Joanne and Wally have paid for the cost of the initial printing run of 200 copies. You can meet the authors and get your signed copy of the book at the Yachats Academy of Arts and Sciences presentation Saving Yachats Ridge, at 3:00 pm on April 21 at the Yachats Commons. Alternatively, email Wally to arrange to pick up a signed copy (wallyorchard@outlook.com). Signed copies are also available at Books and More (formerly Mari’s Books) in Yachats.
