Wild Things Festival—May 11th, 2024 9 am to 4 pm at the Yachats Commons
Wild Things coming to Yachats! Look for the beautifully illustrated poster
designed by Yachats artist Lucinda Cross. The event itself will feature life-size puppets representing the wild things of the Central Oregon Coast—designed by Michael Guerriero and built through a community art project.
There will be educational and interactive booths for all ages, a native plant sale,
music, bird and plant walks, and tidepools at low tide. Participants are encouraged
to dress up as your favorite Wild Thing—animals and plants of the Oregon Coast.

Ridges and Tidepools—Summer Experiences on the Coast
This summer, View the Future and the Cape Perpetua Collaborative are partnering to offer summer programs that will explore tidepools teeming with life and dramatic ridges that plunge into the ocean.
Guided tours will be offered beginning in May and continuing through July. The tours are led by Cape Perpetua’s Tide Pool Ambassadors and View the Future’s resident scholars.
