To achieve our mission, View the Future undertakes activities to:
- Apply creative land planning solutions to preserve open space and conserve natural resources
- Identify properties of conservation value
- Educate owners regarding conservation opportunities, benefits, and processes
- Track properties during and after a transition in the conservation process
- Monitor and steward the protected land across time to ensure that the conservation interests are protected in accordance with local, state, and federal statutes.
- Provide education to individuals, groups, organizations and the community regarding the importance of protecting and preserving the natural environment, culture, and heritage of the local area;
- Work collaboratively with environmental and cultural organizations; city, county, state, federal, and tribal governments; the business community, local residents, and individual experts to preserve and protect the unique natural resources and experience of the local area
